- Thanks, Brenda, for the use of your cider press. We put it to good use and pressed 12 bushels of apples...Fuji and Gala. MMM...so delicious. We planted 6 apple trees this summer and can't wait for next fall.
- Bart showed our friends, the Taylors, how to butcher those noisy roosters. It all came back from his childhood...just like riding a bike!
- We found a great photographer for our family pictures. Her name is Elizabeth Frandsen and her website is www.etfphotography.com. Liz is so personable and creative as you can see by her website and blog. Who knew having your pictures taken could be so much fun...especially for someone so not-photogenic as me. Our kids didn't even complain through a whole 2-hour session! We especially love the one with the bike which will soon be hanging prominently in our entry.
- Our best vacations seem to be in the Spring and Fall when we get a long weekend from school. We are ready for a break by then...and it's cheaper. This time we opted to stay in state and spent 3 days in Midway. We wore ourselves out: biking to Heber for lunch (with no major mishaps that couldn't be fixed with a little Green Goo), playing tennis, swimming, golfing (putting), watching movies...and then rushed back home for family pictures, which we may post some of...later.
