I just have to share these last pictures of China because they are so amazing and beautiful. As I must live vicariously, for now, through the photos and stories of husband and son, I am just thankful they had the opportunity to go.
They were able to visit and help out at a foster home which takes in special needs babies (49 currently.) You can help them too. Visit their website at thestarfishfosterhome.org.
The forbidden city (seen Mulan anyone?), ladder toting tricycle and hot baths (in Xi'an)
The Great Wall of China! (including a ride down on the Chinese version of an Alpine Slide.)
In the last picture the wall actually snakes up a ridge on the left and across the top of the mountain range. So incredible....

Little Adventures in Big China
Bart and Kimball are having a great time in China. They are combining business and fun for two weeks and I think Kimball is turning part Chinese.
Some delicious foods from the Chinese menu they have actually eaten so far: chicken feet, donkey, jellyfish, lamb's blood tofu, shark, lotus, black fungus, rotten duck eggs (they passed on this one), pigs stomach, lamb's liver noodles...I'm so proud!
A little massage and ear cleaning before dinner!
(I hear it aids digestion)

a week in Missouri
A drive we were dreading...but, well worth the effort. We were able to visit some historical sites, Adam ondi Ahman, Liberty Jail and Independence. It was pretty much a whirlwind trip visiting the lake in Stockton, playing with cousins, antique shopping, a night at the water park, and throwing a 50th Anniversary party for Bart's parents. No day ended before 1:00 AM and we came home pretty exhausted.
