- Our 6 year old recently informed us that his bellybutton randomly changes between being an innie and an outie! He has now figured out the purpose in this and stated that "when my bellybutton is an outie, I can play with friends after school for 3 hours, when it is an innie I can't play with friends that day." So...there it is, if you are feeling social today, you may want to check your bellybutton first!
